
if a couple people with green eyes pick on you at school, insult all green-eyed people. they were all picking on you anyway.
A sensible green-eyed person would read those insults and think “Hm, that’s weird.” then go about their usual business of not having their lives threatened because of their bodies and identities.
When I, a straight white cis man, see a person using generalized insults toward any of the above, it doesn’t remind me of any systematic oppressions other than than the ones that pushed that person to feel that way. I feel empathy when I see those insults, not personal indignation, and I certainly do not feel a need to compare myself to people for whom insults represent palpable violence.
