hi… ever heard of… not excusing your own abusive behaviors on account of mental illness…? 

Like dude, me and my partner BOTH have bpd, and the second we caught each other getting jealous for going out with each others friends, we took a big fuckin step back and were like “Whoa, we’re both way out of line here and this is some really toxic behavior.”

Like! Fun fact, having mental illness, while being a cause and explanation for a bad/toxic/abusive behavior, is NEVER an excuse to keep on doing it. You take a step back, you look at yourself and what you’re doing, you recognize the problem, and then you by god learn how to do better or else you lose your partner. Plain and simple.
